The source of all is water, then all is waterand all is returning to water.
(Thales von Milet)
Try the water from our fountain or take a bath using the healthy mineral water. Our water is the only the richest mineral water in the whole of South Tyrol.
The history of this mineral spring goes back to the 18th century, when it was first named as the “Zegg-Bad”. The house of “Falbenpachhäusl”, from which today’s name of our Residence originates from, was situated nearby, but didn’t belong to the “Zegg-Bad”. Only in the year of 1892 both houses got together.
In 1830-35 the water of the spring has been analysed for the first time and declared as mineral water. Baths were taken to cure nervous diseases, stomach aches, hip problems, rheumatic pains, melancholy, colics and weak blood vessels.
From 1883 the village of St. Leonhard took on the second name of “health resort”.
The spring of Bad Fallenbach is classified as light mineral water, but nevertheless as the richest mineral water of South Tyrol (conductivity of 505 µS/cm). The water contains iron, fluorine, ion and traces of aluminium, arsenic, boron, barium, bromine, chromium, copper, lithium, lead, selenium, zinc, beryllium, silver, lanthanum and caesium. The spring rises 750 m above sea level, its temperature is about 12°C.
